CLEVELAND -- Police say they caught the man wanted in a series of robberies.

The Cleveland Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Ryan Dorty. Police along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police conducted a warrant sweep in the 8300 block of Denison Avenue where they arrested Dorty.

Dorty was identified in two robberies. The first one happened on Sunday, November 10th, 2013 at a Subway on West 25th street. Two days later he robbed the Family Dollar store on Ridge Road where a store clerk was shot.

Police believe he is responsible for other robberies on Cleveland's west side and would like anyone with information on Dorty's involvement to contact the Second District Detective Bureau at 216.623.5218.

Dorty is charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in courtroom 3-D on Monday.
