Special agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Lakewood police arrested four people Wednesday for alleged roles in an arson fraud scheme that involved a murder-for-hire case.

Those arrested are David B Simons, 39, of Cuyahoga Falls; Ronald R. Robey, 61, of Cleveland; and Gary E. Tritto, 60, and Matthew C. Kaye, 32, both of Richmond Heights.

"These arrests highlight the outstanding work that dedicated ATF agents and our law enforcement partners do to keep our citizens safe," said acting Special Agent in Charge Christopher J. Hyman. "This investigation is a cooperative effort that required a lot of long hours and excellent coordination among investigators, prosecutors and agencies throughout the region and epitomizes the fine work law enforcement does every day."
