EASTLAKE -- Police only had to follow the tire tracks in the snow to find the driver who left the scene of a hit-skip Sunday morning.
Just before 6 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the scene of a hit-skip accident on Waverly Road.
The victim's vehicle had been pushed 40-50 feet south of its parking location into a neighbor's yard.
There was vehicle parts embedded in the back of the victim's vehicle, as well as along the path the vehicle traveled.
Tire tracks in the snow showed where the suspect vehicle left the roadway about 20 feet before striking the vehicle.
Further down Waverly the suspect vehicle was located parked in a driveway with heavy front-end damage.
The driver, 36, was taken into custody and charged with hit-skip and failure to control.
