CLEVELAND -- Police have released a wanted poster for the driver responsible in the fatal hit-and-run crash in which a 5-year-old boy was killed last week.

The poster showcases two widely publicized images of the suspect vehicle, which is described on the poster as follows:

Mid-sized SUV

  • Newer model
  • White, silver or LT grey in color
  • Four door
  • No luggage rack
  • Somewhat of a rounded front end
  • Tapered rear window

On October 25, the unidentified driver struck 5-year-old Israel T. Thornton as he walked to a nearby bus stop. Israel was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died a short time later.

It's reported that other students who were waiting at the bus stop witnessed the crash.
