CLEVELAND -- Calling hours were held Sunday at E.F. Boyd and Son Funeral Home for Lt. Firefighter William Walker.

Family friends and members of the Cleveland community joined firefighters from all over to pay their respects to a man who impacted so many lives.

Walker will be laid to rest Monday following a funeral at Cleveland's Public Auditorium at 2 p.m.

Colleagues of Lt. Walker reflected on the type of person he was, saying he always put others before himself.

"I worked with him for a number of years and I never saw a more dedicated, personable," said Cleveland Fire Lt. Steve Manzuk. "He was a Cleveland firefighter through and through."

Police are continuing to look for the suspect who shot and killed the Walker outside his east side home.

Lt. Walker was a husband, father, friend and brother to many in the firefighting community.
