NORTH CANTON -- Police have one suspect in custody but are still looking for a second suspect in a Saturday night robbery.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, a robbery was reported at the SPEE-D-FOODS gas station. at 953 S Main Street.

The suspect was a black man in his early twenties. A traffic stop was made on a 2002 maroon Chevy Tahoe occupied by two black men.

The vehicle stopped in the 100 block of Bonnett Street SW and the driver got out of the vehicle and ran away.

The passenger remained in the vehicle and was arrested.

Stark County Sheriff's deputies assisted in an effort to locate the driver. The Summit County Sheriff's Office sent K-9 officer Deputy D.C. Seevers and his dog Mack to assist.

Police say Jewel Davonte Moore, 20, was the passenger and he was placed under arrest for aggravated robbery, possessing criminal tools, using weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons and underage consumption.

The driver of the vehicle is still on the loose. If anyone witnessed or has information about this incident, please contact the North Canton PD at (330) 499-5911.
