Suspect described as a white male with a moustache, approximately 6'0" and 185 lbs.


BEREA -- The FBI and Berea police are searching for a suspect who tried to rob the U.S. Bank in Berea on Saturday morning.

The suspect is described as a white male with a moustache and a medium build, approximately 6'0" and 185 lbs. During the attempted robbery, the suspect wore glasses, a Carhart jacket and a winter hat.

The attempted bank robbery happened at approximately 9:40 a.m. at 118 Front Street.

The subject presented a note indicated that it was a bank robbery and that he had a weapon. No weapon was ever seen. After a short time the subject took back the note and exited the bank.

The robbery was unsuccessful, and no money was taken.

No injuries were reported.
