As Mother Nature's wintry blitz prepares to bite down, ODOT is ready for the battle.

Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties will be fully staffed with 75 crews working to clear the roadways throughout the snowy event.

ODOT District 12 spokesperson Molly Leonard says it is too early to develop any focus areas yet as the storm progresses.

"Our crews will be working around the clock until this event is over -- and into Thanksgiving if they need to," Leonard says in an e-mail. "They know it is their responsibility to keep the roads safe for the traveling public."

Elsewhere, ODOT will deploy 20-22 trucks in Summit County, 18 in Stark and 18 in Portage.

Tow plows, which can clear two lanes at once, will be out as well.
