AKRON -- Three are behind bars after police tracked down a trio who robbed three partygoers of their money, wallets, cell phones and the their car early Sunday morning.
About 4:30 a.m. Sunday, three men leaving a party in the 200 block of Paris Avenue were robbed at gunpoint of their belongings and their car.
The victims reported they were leaving a party when the suspects approached them armed with handguns.
The suspects made the victims get down on the ground while they took their personal belongings; money, wallets and cell phones. The suspects then took the victims' vehicle, a 2003 Ford Explorer, and drove off.
Officers located the vehicle in the 2090 block of Windsor Street.
Following the execution of a search warrant in the 600 block of Excelsior Avenue, officers arrested three males involved in the robbery.
Police arrested and charged Jermaine Johnson, 21; Justice Higgins, 18; and Ludie Gaines, 17, all from Akron. They were all charged with aggravated robbery.
The two men were booked into the Summit County Jail and the teen was placed in the custody of the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
