CONCORD TOWNSHIP -- Another major accident closed parts of I-90 in Lake County, just east of Cleveland Friday night.

Officials say three semi trucks and three passenger cars were involved in the accident around 8 p.m. A 7-year-old was flown to a nearby hospital. Their condition is unknown.

I-90 east was closed at S.R. 615 and at S.R. 44, but both closures were reopened early Saturday morning. The one lane on I-90 west, that was closed starting near Paine Road has also been reopened.

An eye witness with a towing company at the scene says one car was smashed between two semi trucks. Officials say one semi truck rear-ended another.

This is the same general area near Vrooman Road where a Christmas Eve pileup occurred involving a number of vehicles that left the highway closed for nearly six hours after heavy snow led to a chain reaction event.

Investigators believe speed was to blame on the slippery roadways and not construction in the area at the time.

Stay with for the latest details.
