EAST CLEVELAND -- A water main break on Beersford and Euclid in East Cleveland impacted RTA riders and routes.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, RTA says the water is still being cleaned up. In the meantime, customers wanting to use the Red Line train and bus customers can use the Windermere stop.

An RTA spokeswoman says the water main break impacted the Windermere Station. RTA had closed the transfer area of the station.

In addition routes 41, 30, 37, 28, 3 and the HealthLine were diverted to the Superior Station.

A spokesman for the Cleveland Water Department says it is a 10-inch pipe that ruptured.

Repair crews have turned off the water and repairs are under way. The department says an undetermined number of customers will be without water until the line is repaired and water restored.
