CLEVELAND -- Mayor Frank Jackson will hold an unscripted State of the City discussion at 12:30 p.m. today in a candid conversation with WKYC's Russ Mitchell.

"By using this unscripted approach, Mayor Jackson will be able to offer more in-depth answers to the questions that matter most to the Cleveland community," a press release from Mayor Jackson's office says.

Various updates on the Jackson Administration's projects and plans will be available to view on the City's website and blog at 12:30 p.m.

"During this year's State of the City event, Mayor Jackson looks forward to sharing the progress that Cleveland has achieved during his tenure, as well as addressing some of the challenges and issues that our City and region face," the press release declares.

Immediately after the discussion wraps up, the City Club Q&A with audience members will begin.

This marks Mayor Jackson's ninth State of the City, but the second year in a row he will not deliver it in a traditional format.
