RAVENNA -- Three people are being held in the Portage County Jail in connection with a burglary last month. The three are also said to be people of interest in other burglaries in Portage, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
According to the sheriff's department, all three of those under arrest last lived in East Palestine, Ohio.
The three were identified after a burglary in Deerfield Township in February. Video surveillance obtained from the scene was given to surrounding departments. The Columbiana County Sheriff's Department provided tentative identification of those in the tape.
According to the Portage County Sheriff, Heather R. Boots, 34, and Daniel J. Boots, 39, were arrested at a hotel in Niles on March 7. A third person, Juston E. Buskirk, 35, turned himself in to East Palestine police yesterday.
All three are said to be cooperating with police. They face charges of burglary and are scheduled to appear in court later today. All are being held without bond at the Portage County Jail.
