PARMA -- Three men have been arrested in connection with two armed robberies at Parma bars this week and say the robberies are related.

The men haven't been charged yet, so police aren't releasing their names.

Two patrons of Number One Lounge, 5555 Ridge Road, were robbed about 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, two robbers were wearing masks and armed with handguns. The entered the business and struck two customers across the head with a gun.

They ordered the customers to the floor and robbed them of their phones and cash, police said.

Both men then fled the business in an unknown direction.

Early Wednesday, a man robbed another Parma bar, Piffels Pub, at gunpoint, also striking a patron on the head.

According to police, it happened around 1:55 a.m. when the unidentified suspect walked inside the bar on Ridge Road. The suspect reportedly brandished a handgun and pointed it at several patrons while demanding money.

The suspect used the gun to hit one of the patron's in the head.

When an employee fled the bar to call for help, police say the suspect chased the worker down and forced her back inside the bar.

Moments later, the suspect shot a male patron in the torso and ordered the employee to give him cash from the business.

The suspect then fled the scene with an unreported amount of money.
