WKYC-TV and Diversified Funk partner to create summer Block Parties with a Purpose in July


CLEVELAND -- WKYC Channel 3 is partnering with Diversified Funk to create three summer Block Parties with a Purpose! in several Cleveland neighborhoods.

The free community events will be held in the neighborhoods of Lee-Harvard-Miles, Cudell and Clark-Fulton.

Each event will provide resources and activities promoting improved quality in these communities.

The kick-off event will be Saturday, July 12 at the Lee-Harvard-Miles Community Festival at Frederick Douglass Park.

Block Parties with a Purpose Diversified Funk

The Cleveland Department of Public Health and NEON Mobile Dental Unit will provide free medical and dental screenings. Cooking demonstrations will be provided by Edwins Leadership and Restaurant Institute chefs. The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center will help veterans with healthcare eligibility enrollment.
