Police received a 911 hangup call from a home in the 27900 block of Southbridge Drive about 10:15 p.m.
WESTLAKE -- Charges have been filed against a man accused of stabbing his parents Monday night in Westlake.
Police received a 911 hangup call from a home in the 27900 block of Southbridge Drive about 10:15 p.m. and called back and found out Kim Jaworski, 58, and his wife, Carol, 56, had been stabbed by their 22-year-old son, Robert Jaworski.
Both were taken to St. John Medical Center in Westlake and transferred by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Kim Jaworski, whose injuries are reportedly life-threatening, was listed in critical condition Wednesday, and Carol Jaworski was listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesman.
Four police departments participated in the search for Robert Jaworski, who was taken into custody without incident about 11:30 p.m. when he was found in the area of Porter Road and Lansing Drive. He faces two counts of felonious assault and a count of tampering with evidence.
According to police, a search of the neighborhood did not turn up the knife he is accused of using.
Robert Jaworsky appeared in Rocky River Municipal Court via closed-circuit television Wednesday, and his bond was set at $225,000. His next court appearance is Tuesday.
