Emergency responders and the community are paying tribute to firefighters killed in the line of duty.

TOLEDO -- As the community vows never to forget two fallen firefighters, the owner of the building where they died has been charged in their deaths.

A caravan of fire trucks led the funeral procession this morning for Stephen Machcinski and James Dickman. It started at a funeral home in Sylvania and made its way to Sandusky. Throughout the route, other drivers pulled over out of respect.

Meanwhile, court documents filed Friday in Toledo say Ray Abou-Arab is charged with two counts of aggravated murder and arson.

The documents say an apartment resident saw the fire break out Sunday just after the building's owner left a garage on the site.

Firefighters found both men inside the burning building, carried them out on stretchers and tried unsuccessfully to save them.

Emergency responders from across the state and around the country joined Friday's procession.
